How to type in Bengali

1. The editor above is already set to Bengali. Click in it and start typing.
2. Phonetic: spell each word as it sounds. The whole word is redrawn as you type, so namaskAr turns into নমস্কার letter by letter.
3. InScript: if you learned the standard Indian keyboard, switch to InScript and type Bengali letters directly.

• Capitals type the long and retroflex sounds: A I U E O, T D N L Sh.
• M types the anusvara, H the visarga, and .h an explicit virama.
• Use _ to stop two letters from joining.
• Open the Keys panel to see every Bengali letter and the keys that type it. Tap a letter to insert it, which also helps on phones.
• Turn on native digits to type ১২৩ instead of 123.
